Why You Should Go To The Mission Field

‘Difficult and glorious’ are not commonly used together to describe a situation yet, cross-cultural worker Norman Beale uses these words to describe the time he and his wife Beth served God among an unreached people group in Nepal.

Interrupting their plans for their lives, they decided to respond to God’s call to go to the nations. God gave them the privilege of seeing individuals in an ethno-linguistic people come to faith in Christ. The Beales discipled these new believers and saw them grow in that faith, The continued growth, development, and training of the believers lead to them obeying Jesus command to ‘make disciples’  and continue the work of proclaiming the Good News among their own people.

Encouraging and challenging people today to pray, seeking God’s face for His plan for your life and committing to obedience, Norman admonishes us to ‘tighten your belt’ because God will take you on an unimaginable, fabulous, exciting journey. The call to serve cross-culturally may be a scary call, but God is faithful and will carry you through.
