Reaching the Unreached
Reading the Bible helps us see how much God loves us, His creation, and the great lengths He has gone to bring people to Himself. The Bible paints a picture of how much He cares about people knowing Him. Most of the world has an opportunity to hear this story.
But, a quarter of the world’s population does not have that opportunity to hear that God sent His Son in human form to teach us how to know our Creator. It isn’t that they choose not to believe they simply have no opportunity to hear this good news. The only way they will be able to hear this truth is if someone follows Jesus’ example. If someone leaves their natural home, giving up the ease and comfort and goes to these people and tells them the Good News.
To a degree the Church has been working to see every nation, tribe, people, and language come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Yet, most of the people and money given for the cause end up going to those who have already heard.
God is calling us to pay attention to the imbalance. He is calling us to re-think our giving and our going. He is calling us to be more intentional about seeing the unreached and frontier people groups reached with the amazing story of His love.
The task is bigger than a person, a church, but not bigger than God. He can and wants to do this through us.
