Prayer Walk

Explore what prayer walking is and how you can begin strategically praying in your community and for your community. 

This video digs into nitty-gritty elements of organizing a prayer walk. The video starts with praying for the walk itself, asking God what He would have you do, with whom, when to go out, and where to go. The teaching points continue with step by step information for the prayer walk all the way through to the end of gathering back together to share, debrief, and celebrate what God has done. 

Constructive information is given on topics to be considered as one prayer walks his/her community. The importance of staying focused, praying conversationally and staying attentive to the Holy Spirit. A helpful acronym of BLESS is presented. The acronym can help prayers recall specific subjects to pray for people in the area.  

After going through the steps of preparing to prayer walk two participants then take the viewer on a prayer walk demonstrating how the sights, sounds, and smells that you experience as you prayer walk can be prayer prompts for praying as you go into your community.
