Go – Southeast Asia Feature

God's Spirit is moving across Singapore and the Anglican Diocese of Singapore is making disciples throughout southeast Asia: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. As a partner with the Diocese of Singapore in this vision, AFM is helping the U.S. Church to send cross-cultural workers to southeast Asia for terms lasting from one month to a career in length. It’s a special gift to be called to teach, but to be called to take that gift into the mission field is an incomparable blessing.  Christian teachers--particularly Christian English teachers--are needed in countries all over the world unreached and untouched by the Gospel. One such country is amazing Cambodia. The Anglican Church of Christ Our Peace, located in the busy capital city of Phnom Penh, has started conversational English classes for young adults.   The Khmer youth of Cambodia are enthusiastic and motivated to learn English because they see the ability to speak English as a way of increasing their job opportunities and improving their quality of life. As Christian English teachers, we are given the unique chance not only to teach in an environment with motivated learners, but also, and even more importantly, to build meaningful relationships with people who know very little, if anything, about Jesus.

Christ our Peace is hoping to find cross-cultural workers to join us to help grow these new ministries in the months ahead and perhaps begin new ministries, not only in the city but also in the countryside, as God leads and equips us with new workers.  So, if you have been considering mission work, love to teach, and have a passion for God's people, we would love to talk to you about opportunities to join us in the Kingdom of Wonder for the Kingdom of God.
