AFM partners with thousands of churches in India to share the love of Christ.
Short-term Vision Trips
Short-term Vision Trips are the primary vehicle for introduction to the ministry in India. Short-termers may also travel to other ministry locations for ministry exposure, to meet with key leaders, and/or to make plans for future involvement. Vision Trip short-termers generally minister in one of the following areas:
- Teaching in discipleship, church growth, and leadership development
- Teaching curriculum and running sports camps
- Medical/public health, including medical camps, medical training for village health workers, training for lay people in public health, basic hygiene, and AIDS awareness and treatment
- Business Training, including microenterprise projects and surveying for further involvement and development
All Vision Trips are 5-14 days in length. Both individuals and teams may come serve. The ideal team size is 8-10 people.
Mid-and Long-term Ministry
Those who have served on a Vision Trip may be called to return to India for mid- and long-term service. Clergy, medical professionals, teachers, business people, writers/journalists, and administrative workers can all play an important role in the growth of the Indian Church.
